Just finished Girlfriend Material by Melissa Kantor another Texas Lone Star book. Don't think it ought to be on this list as the list is for 6-8 grade Students, we ought to have a list by grade :-) 8th graders probably find this book very entertaining and pertaining to their lives, 6th graders think it ought to be that way and will be disappointed in life. Oh, welll...
The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima; yep, TLSbook. Wow, not interested at first, but once you get sucked in you are sucked in!!! Read the book over the last week and didn't get very far, started to get into it Saturday morning, and read till 12:30 am, fell asleep sitting up so went to bed, got up at 6:30 am and finished the last 2 or 3 chapters. Now waiting for the next book. Hard to get into, but once it has you it keeps having turns in it! Follow the link and read the first chapter, but you'll be disappointed and will have to read more to get into it!
The Bull Rider by Suzanne Morgan Williams Oh, this is not what you think it is, and I did like this book, guess it might be the one I will like best of all the TLS this year. The main subject is not Bull Riding, and that is all I am going to say. I did give it to one of the students this week and asked her to tell me what she thinks, she came back a bit later stating she started reading it and liked it so far. It's an intriguing book for anyone to read. Far better lesson then the top book :-)
Killer Pizza by Greg Taylor if you like monsters, this is a book for you. Don't care for monsters, but this is an easy read and might be for the kiddos who don't like to read and want to be grossed out a bit.
Think that's all I read since Aug. 15 and my last post :-)
Hang on for the next instalment coming soon! There are way too many books to read!
